She is a key partner to the Board in managing the organization, implementing Board decisions, ensuring the efficient use of resources, advancing the organization’s objectives, and providing day-to-day strategic leadership necessary for the Board to make strategic decisions and fulfill its governance responsibilities. Catherine Mueni Simiyu - Member
With 29 years of experience in Adult Nursing and Geriatrics as a Registered State Nurse 1 in the United Kingdom, she brings extensive expertise in patient care management, elder care, and chronic illness support. Her clinical insight and commitment to dignity and evidence-based practice greatly strengthen the organization’s strategic pillar of health, particularly the KPO Rehabilitation Center. As a board member, she plays a key role in shaping responsive, patient-centered rehabilitation services that meet global care standards. Her leadership ensures that our health programs are inclusive, sustainable, and focused on improving care outcomes and promoting holistic well-being of persons with disabilities.

A successful entrepreneur and seasoned business leader, he has built inclusive enterprises such as The Monarch Hotel and Rocky Driving School—both fully accessible and barrier-free for persons with disabilities. With extensive experience in business development and a strong commitment to equity and diversity, he has created ventures that promote life skills, economic empowerment, and inclusive hiring. His leadership in developing accessible training programs and innovative business models ensures marginalized communities are not left behind. Mr. John Muyekho Ngutai – Member
A finance professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s degree in Accounts and Statistics. He has served as a part-time lecturer at JKUAT and is currently a Senior Elections Officer at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), with additional experience as a Management Consultant and Board Member of Ballot SACCO. He brings strategic leadership, financial governance expertise, and a strong commitment to transparency and accountability. His skills in financial management, systems improvement, compliance, and strategic resource allocation strengthen the organization’s sustainability and ensure that resources are aligned with its mission and long-term goals.

Dr. Maurice Peter Simiyu – Chairman
A distinguished freelance general surgeon with an extensive background in clinical and administrative healthcare. He previously served as the Medical Superintendent at the National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital and held various senior roles including Provincial Director of Health for both the Coast and Nairobi provinces. Additionally, he played a pioneering role as a County Executive Committee Member (CECM) in the Ministry of Health, Busia County.
He brings decades of leadership and experience in health systems strengthening and patient-centered care.
