Why Support An SCI Patient?
The impact of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) or other physical disability on a family is often overwhelming. People with SCI or other physical disability are reliant on others for the provision of care associated with the basic activities of daily living and require mobility aids such as wheelchairs and technical aids for use at work, at home in recreation.

Additionally, persons injured in accidents such as sport and motor vehicle mishaps can no longer rely on large insurance settlement to meet their basic requirements of living with a disability over their life span, as insurance settlements have typically decreased over the past decade. Hence, individuals and families often bear the costs of ongoing and continuous care.

Why KPO needs YOUR Support
More than half of those persons living with SCI are reported to being employed at the time of their injury. Due to their new condition they are either forced out of work or fired. In most circumstances, they are never compensated thus not being able to meet their immediate medical needs. For those who were not employed at the time of injury, it is tougher to meet their immediate needs. Life after a spinal cord injury can be as enjoyable and productive as that of any non-disabled person and that is why as an organization, we are out to make this realizable.
Specifically, being a non-profit organization, we fully depend on charity and donations from local and international well-wishers.
