Programme overview:
This programmeKPO endevours to support paraplegics venture into projects that are compatible with individual values, skills, abilities and interests. KPO also organizes vocational training programmes that empower paraplegics with alternative and requisite skills required for their preferred enterprises.

Some of the successful projects under this programme include:

Community Phone Project:
Under this, KPO in partnership with Safaricom Foundation donated community phones popularly known in Kenya as simu ya jamii to paraplegics. This project reaped from the immense gains registered in the Kenyan Communication Sector in recent years. 50 paraplegics benefited from this programme; imperative to add, family members also played a pivotal role in the implementation of this project.

Incubation Project:
KPO in partnership with the Kenya Country Business Incubation trained several incubator officers on business incubation. Under this project, paraplegics were imparted with knowledge on running businesses; records keeping, customer etiquette among others.

KPO Community Based Organizations Empowerment Project:
This ongoing project popularly known as KPO Vikundi project entails empowering paraplegics who are members of Paraplegics Community Based Organizations to venture into income generating projects. The project has been sponsored by Safaricom Foundation. 150 paraplegics from different regions in the country have so far to been able to venture into their preferred enterprises ranging from photography, cereals shops, animal husbandry, canteens among others while hundreds more lives will be touched with the completion of this project. Among the regions where KPO has a foothold or Community Based Organizations includes Siaya, Meru, Kiambu(Lari), Mombasa, Buret, Eldoret, Bungoma, Nairobi, Nanyuki, Eldama Ravine while many others are in the pipeline.
